The DECC is speaking to regulator Ofgem about upgrading its IT system to allow ‘bulk’ applications for the RHI domestic scheme, which incentivises landlords to install green energy measures. Currently social landlords have to submit individual applications for each property.

Speaking at the Homes 2014 conference last month, Stephen Roberts, head of market intelligence at the DECC, said: ‘What we are trying to do with Ofgem is work on its IT system so that for social landlords there will be an easier way to do it, we recognise that it is currently a little bit onerous.’
