Greg Barker MP has confirmed that the Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive will launch on Wednesday 9th April 2014, well before easter as planned.

Greg Barker made the RHI announcement on Twitter saying “It’s here! Domestic #RHI signed into law tonight and opening TOMORROW! Contact Ofgem to apply http://bit.ly/1h9BtRW #LongTermEconomicPlan”

The Renewable Heat Incentive was signed into law late on Tuesday night and Ofgem will open on Wednesday and process the first RHI applications. The Renewable Heat Incentive gives financial incentives to consumers who install Heat Pumps, Biomass or Solar Thermal.
