RHI Applications Increase
The number of applications for the Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive have shown further growth according to the latest statistics announced by Ofgem.
By June 27th 2014, almost 4,500 applications had been processed for the Renewable Heat Incentive.
Air Source Heat Pumps have received the most applications with Solar Thermal and Biomass showing similar levels of take-up, Ground Source Heat Pumps are the technology with the lowest number of applications.
The figures released are very encouraging for MCS Installers as they show more and more consumers are becoming aware of the RHI and investing in having renewable heat technologies fitted in their homes.
The applications breakdown by technology is as follows;
Air Source Heat Pumps – 1,612
Solar Thermal – 1,143
Biomass – 1,065
Ground Source Heat Pumps – 628
