Insolvency service bans two directors of Solar PV companies
The Renewable Energy Consumer Code (RECC), have confirmed that two directors of Solar PV companies have been banned from being directors of companies.
Steven Douglas Newman, the director of PV Solar Direct Ltd, a company that went into Voluntary Liquidation on 29 November 2012 owing creditors and shareholders £282,997, of which consumers at least £186,602, has been disqualified as a director for 9 years following an investigation by the Insolvency Service.

Stephen Rievaulx-Wilson, the director of Solar Energy Savings Ltd, a company that was wound up by the Court in the Public Interest on 26 July 2012 owing creditors and shareholders £13,833,694, has been disqualified as a director for 13 years following an investigation by the Insolvency Service.

Neither company was ever a member of the Renewable Energy Consumer Code.
