MCS have released new standards covering all MCS Technologies with extensive changes within Renewable Heat Technologies including; Heat Pumps, Solar Thermal and Biomass. The full Competency Criteria has also now been confirmed and comes into force on March 16th. The competency criteria confirms the competency requirements for new installers choosing a qualification route, installers opting for the experienced worker route, and the requirements for existing MCS Installers to meet the new criteria.
