Greg Barker plans to further develop RHI
Greg Barker, Energy & Climate Change minister has outlined the Government’s plans to further develop the Green Deal and Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) in 2014.
Greg Barker confirmed the Government’s enthusiasm for the Green Deal: “Now the Green Deal proposition is out there we will continue to iterate the policy, making amends and adjustments where necessary but never deviating or back-tracking on what the policy was primarily set out to do.”
He said that over 80% of those who have had the Green Deal Assessment have reported they have either installed or intend to act on the Green Deal approved measures, showing interest is high amongst consumers.
